Intro to the Landscape Design Professions
This project focused on designing an outdoor learning environment for an elementary school campus, integrating play, education, and community space at a child-friendly scale. Beginning with site inventory and analysis, I studied circulation patterns, microclimate, access, and program needs. Through conceptual diagrams, hand drawings, and physical model-making, I developed a site plan that organizes learning gardens, flexible play areas, and shaded gathering zones around clear pedestrian movement. The design emphasizes safety, accessibility, planting as sensory experience, and spaces that encourage curiosity, exploration, and social interaction.

My work explores how people move through, gather in, and form emotional relationships with landscape spaces. I’m interested in the balance between contemplation and activity, circulation and pause, and how planting, shade, seating, and spatial sequencing shape experience at the human scale.
